During his stay in Madrid, where he did his military service, he began to study Teaching but he soon gave up and began to work as an office worker in the firm ‘General Gallega de Electricidad’. He travelled all around Galicia to carry out his ethnographic investigations.

These are some of his most important works Museo escolar y manera de formarlo, estudio acerca de la escritura hemisférica, Un falo alado en el Museo Provincial de Lugo, Unha representazón do deus inbnominado pre-román, Una nueva pieza para el catálogo de torques gallegos, Historia del Folklore de Galicia, Sobrado de los Monjes y el Renacimiento Gallego, etc. Besides, he wrote two novels: O consentimiento (1926) and Alevamento (1928).
