She took a degree in Philosophy and Arts at Seville University in 1960 and a doctor’s degree at the same university, presenting her thesis ‘La vida y la obra de José Luis Hidalgo’ in 1963.

PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMICAL POSITIONS:
A) Spain:
1957: she entered the Archives and Library Corps.
1960-64: assistant Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at Seville University.
1964: temporary assistant teacher in the same Faculty and Professor of Spanish Language and Literature.
1980: Professor of University Colleges.

B) USA and Ireland:
1965-66: Distinguished Visiting Professor at Michigan State University, Romance Languages Department.
1967-73: Full Professor at the same university and department.
1974-76: she gave special classes at the University College of Dublin.
