He was a professor of the Music Conservatory of A Coruña (1987-1997) as well as director of studies and principal. Since 1997 he has been working as a technical advisor of the Consellería de Educación (Xunta de Galicia). He is on the Corps of Education Inspectors since 2006.

He is the foundation member and president of the Galician Association of Composers.

He got the Composition Award of Carlos III University, Madrid (2000).

The Consellería de Cultura, the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the organization of Mozart Festival asked him to compose music.

He published some of his works in Arte Tripharia, Viso Editorial and Real Musical. His music was also recorded by artists such as Antoni Ros Marbá, Joaquín Pixán, Alejandro Zabala or Albert Nieto, among others.

 Work & Activities

His production ranges over several genres and reaches almost a hundred works. His music has been performed in the Cycle of Chamber and Polyphonic Music in Madrid, the National Auditorium, the Music Palace, March Foundation, Gulbekiam Foundation, etc...

In addition to the abundant chamber music and lied, he composed ‘Cantiga Finisterrae para múltiples voces de luz’, a cantata for soprano, baritone, choir and orchestra, lyrics by Miguel Anxo Fernán-Vello and directed by Víctor Pablo (2001) and finished ‘Inés e Bianca’, the opera by Marcial del Adalid, which was published by the IGAEM.
