He emigrated to Argentina when he was thirteen and started to work in a shop of a relative of his in a small village. He soon left to Buenos Aires, where he began to work as a deliveryman in the magazine ‘Caras y Caretas’. Owing to his ability for caricature, he soon entered the editorial staff as a caricaturist. In 1919, he became editor of the magazine and shortly after he founded and also edited the magazine ‘Plus Ultra’. He also succeeded in painting.
He carried out several exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Madrid, Roma, Río de Janeiro, etc.
He was a member of the Galician Academy.
