He was especially famous for his portraits of children, being his paintings full of expressiveness. He also illustrated books by Luz Pozo and Ánxel Fole. He carried out exhibitions in A Coruña, Lugo, Barcelona and Braga.

In 1960, he was elected as 'the most popular man of the year' in A Coruña. In 1963, he was awarded the first painting medal in the Floral Games of Betanzos (A Coruña).
