He entered the Jesus Company after studying and the Spanish Naval School. In 1745, he travelled to Buenos Aires and one year later he became a Professor of Mathematics at Cordoba University (Argentina). He made maps and cartographic studies. After being expelled from Argentina, he was banished to Italy.

 Work & Activities

In Italy he published Tratado del arte de navegar and Descripción en general de la provincia del Paraguay using his experiences as a midshipman.
