Degree in Geography and History (Archaeology) at the University of Santiago de Compostela (1981).

He studied at the Naval Academy in Marín and St Fernando School of Infantry (1986).

Expert on Traditional Chinese Medicine, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine – University of Yunnan and Beijing (2011).

He worked as a librarian at the Public Library of A Pobra do Caramiñal (A Coruña).

He is the president of VOX ANIMA, an association for the defence of the animals’ rights.
