He studied cinema, drawing and painting in the Society of Jesus. From 1973 and 1977, he participated in independent theatre groups, creating one of the first fan cinemas in the city and painted his first posters. In 1977, he started to study Psychology and Business Sciences at Santiago de Compostela University.

He travelled all around Italy, France and Spain and entered San Carlos School of Fine Arts (Valencia) in 1979, where he took his degree. Two years later, he was included at 'Centenario Picasso' Exhibition and exhibited his works in Valencia with the groups 'Glop' and 'Tolerados y Cómplices'. He worked as a teacher in the Secondary Schools of Ortigueira, Ribeira, La Puebla, Cambados and Betanzos. Then, he gave up teaching and moved to New York, where he lived for some time and exhibited his works.

In 1992, he established his studio in A Coruña. His work was well accepted by critics and galleries all around Galicia, Madrid, Majorca, New York, Porto and Valencia with over thirty individual and collective exhibitions. His paintings and sculptures can be found in different museums and collections. Some of his works such as the sculpture placed at the Finisterrae Aquarium in A Coruña have become famous in the city.
