He studied Classic Philology at Madrid University, taking his degree in 1954 with an extraordinary prize. He was a Professor of Indo-European Linguistics at Santiago University from 1971 a 1975. He taught Greek in a Secondary School, first in Pontevedra and then in Compostela, where he retired.
He published the work Comentos filolóxicos a algunhas verbas empregadas na Antífona da cantiga. Besides, he translated the poem by Curros Enríquez ‘A Rosalía’ into classic Greek and an ode by Horacio and Muerte en la catedral by Eliot into Galician language.
