He studied Medicine in Santiago. After taking his doctor’s degree, he improved his studies in the clinic of Dr Juan de Azúa in Madrid and the Clinique d’ Accouchement et Gynecologie Tarmer in París.

These are some of his most important works: Problemas sanitarios que plantea la emigración e inmigración en Galicia, Ensayo sobre los jardines de la infancia (Esquema tipológico, fisiológico y psíquico del párvulo), La tuberculosis en la escuela, Gómez Pereira, médico de cámara de Felipe II, etc. He also published some poems in the newspaper of his city.
