
Curriculum In 1864 he was nominated as director general of Public Works. As a military man, he reached the rank of infantry colonel.
Work & Activities He published several works on military and geographical themes such as Apuntes para la historia de los sucesos de julio de 1854; Progresos de la Geodesia (1862); Estudio de fortificaciones. Atrincheramientos de campaña (1864); Base de Madridejos. Base central de la triangulación geodésica de España (1865), etc.
Other Interesting Aspects He was a member of the Geographical Society of Paris and the Meteorological Society of France. He was also a member of the Spanish Academy although he could not enter the institution owing to his early death.
