He was councillor responsible for Economy and Treasury for almost two years. Nowadays, he is the Mayor of Marín (Pontevedra). He is the secretary responsible for the organization of the Socialist Party in Marín, regional secretary of the Socialist Party in O Morrazo and was a candidate, representing the Socialist Party, in the last general elections in Pontevedra in the fifth position of the list.
