He was a teacher from 1934 to November 1982. In 1942, he studied Navigation and Fishing, carried out some courses in 1971 and 1973 and took a degree in Mathematics in 1975. He was the director of the Fishing School, the school of Maritime Guidance and headmaster of 'Maestro Ribera Casás' Schools (no. 1 and 2). In 1947, he got a scholarship in the Pedagogical Week and was congratulated on his exams to become master of a coaster. He collaborated in the magazines 'Vida Gallega', 'A Queimada', 'Lucus', 'Anduriña' and in the newspapers El Progreso, La Voz de Galicia, El Heraldo de Vivero, Beiramar... He was the founder, treasurer and vice-president of the Centre of Tourism in San Ciprián. He also founded and directed the Sea Museum in San Ciprián, today he is the honourable director. He gave many lectures throughout his life.

He wrote several school books Matemáticas 1ª and four exercise books (1969); Matemáticas 2ª and four exercise books (1969); Matemáticas 3ª and four exercise books (1969). He attended conferences of the International Biennial of Museums, getting a diploma from the Ministry of Culture (State Fine Arts Office). He trained people for many years to take the following exams: master of coasters, Secondary Education, naval mechanic and vocational training.

 Other Interesting Aspects

In 1999, he was nominated as 'lucense do ano'. He got the 'Galician Medal' (1999) in Santiago de Compostela, 'Luis María Sobredo' Prize in 1970, 1971 and 1973 and a diploma granted by the State Education Office (1963) for his social and professional activity as a teacher. He got a diploma at 'La Rábida' University and the first Literature Prize in 1964. In 1973, he was rewarded with the National Prize of Physical Education.
