He belongs to the third generation of a family devoted to the hotel business. He is the owner of 'Casa Paco', a well-known restaurant in Xubia (Ferrol), which has a disco for adults with a quiet environment. The restaurant is specialised in Galician shellfish and fish. 'Casa Paco' is the oldest restaurant in Ferrol, it was founded in 1904.

He practised several sports and got the following results: Spanish Champion of Speed boat racing (1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981), silver medal to the sports merit (Ferrol), best sportsman in A Coruña (Sports Council), best nautical sportsman (Nautical Salon in Barcelona, 1980), gold badge awarded by 'Racing de Ferrol' F.C. and winner of the international 45 minutes in Zaragoza.
