He studied Teaching and took a degree in Humanities at Santiago de Compostela University. He is working at Lugo's Museum now. From 1987 to 1992, he was a member of the Commission of Historic and Artistic Heritage of the Xunta de Galicia in Lugo and the Archaeology Commission of the Xunta de Galicia from 1987 to 1994. He was a foundation member of several associations related to the Cultural Heritage. Nowadays, he is the secretary of the association 'Amigos do Conxunto Histórico-Artístico de Sargadelos'. He gave lectures and made research works on cinema and ethnography. Together with J. M. Blanco Prado, he has been working on the work Proxecto Carboeira since 1993 for cataloguing and making an inventory of all the stone crosses ('cruceiros') in the Terra Chá.
