Curriculum

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Santiago and specialized in preventive medicine and public health. He did a MA in Public Health at the National Health School, a MBA at the University of A Coruña and a MA in Evaluation of Health Technologies at the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Galician School of Health Administration (FEGAS). He also attended several improvement courses.

Félix Rubial has a wide professional experience regarding health that started at the University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela. Afterwards, he was medical director at Hospital da Costa (Burela) and Xeral-Calde Hospital and from 2005 to 2006 he was deputy medical director at the University Hospital of A Coruña.

From 2006 to 2009, he was the operative director of the University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela. From 2009 to 2012 he was medical director of Xeral-Calde –Lucus Augusti Hospital.

He has participated in several training activities promoted by FEGAS, mainly those related to health service management, hospital patient management and health institutions management. He also collaborated as a rapporteur in several occasions.

In January 2012 he was nominated as health assistance manager at the Galician Health Service.
