He worked in Noya and Felipe de Castro was his pupil. He was the author of the equestrian effigy of St James, which is in the Quintana façade, the cathedral and the altarpiece of St Fernando Chapel (also in the cathedral) and the statues of Christ tied to the column, the Ecce Homo, the third Order and the angles of St Domingo's tomb.
