He improved his formation under the direction of Vega y Verdugo in the works at Santiago's cathedral. Vega y Verdugo asked him to design the Quintana façade and the tabernacle. In 1673, he worked in the choir of St Martín Pinario and one year later, he started his masterpiece: the convent and church of the Mercedarian nuns in Santiago de Compostela, which was finished in 1689. He carried out other works such as the 'Casa de las Pomas de la Rúa Nova' (Santiago), 'Fonseca' School and a mascaron in honour of María de Neoburgo for his visit to Santiago.
