He was the president of the Canoeing Federation of Lugo and vice-president of the Galician Canoeing Federation. He was also on the board of directors of the Galician Football Federation.
Today he is the president of the ‘Asociación de Amigos del Camino de Santiago’ in Lugo and vice-president of the National Group of the North Way in Galicia.
