He graduated in Teaching and directed 'Paradai' School in Lugo. He worked as a journalist in the newspaper El Progreso (Lugo) and expert on broadcasting in the radio station 'Radio Lugo'. He was a deputy in Lugo for twelve years and deputy mayor for five years. He filled the following offices: provincial delegate of the Ministry of Information and Tourism, 'delegado de presidencia' (Xunta de Galicia) in Lugo, director general of Interior, general secretary of the presidency of the Xunta de Galicia, president of 'Ancares' Club and the association 'Amigos de la Muralla de Lugo'. He promoted the creation of 'Picos de Ancares' Youth Hostel and was on the Commissions University - County Council to create the Campus of Lugo. He founded the associations 'Orden Serenísima de la Alquitara' and 'Domingos Folclóricos' of Portomarín.

 Work & Activities

He wrote the following books: La Mariña de Lugo; El parque natural de Ancares; El cañon y la Ribeira Sacra del Sil and Villalba y la Terra Cha.

 Other Interesting Aspects

The City Council of Portomarín honoured him putting his name to a street. He created the slogan '... Y para comer, Lugo' and got the distinction of 'Mesonero Mayor Honorario de la Provincia de Lugo', 'silver medal to the hotel business merit' and the 'National Command of Ecuador'.
