He took a degree in Geography and History (Contemporary History) at Santiago de Compostela University and a doctor's degree in Economical and Business Sciences with his doctoral thesis La emigración gallega a América, 1830-1930 (Santiago, 2000). He is a Professor at the University School of Business Studies in Vigo, Faculty of Economical and Business Sciences in Vigo and Faculty of Public Relations and Advertising (Vigo University). He also teaches History of Foundations of the Economical Analysis and History and Economical Institutions at Vigo University.
