She got an extraordinary prize for his degree at the Music Conservatoire in A Coruña, where she studied under the direction of Antón de Santiago with the best marks. She is a mezzo-soprano with a beautiful voice and a great technical control that allow her wonderful interpretations. Her education was improved with important interpretation courses such as 'Bachacademie' under the direction of Helmut Rilling, 'Música en Compostela' with María Venutti and Andreas Schmidt, 'Teatro lírico español' with Maximino Zumalave and 'Canción Española y Zarzuela' with Marimí del Pozo. She also studied with Miguel Zanetti, who teaches stylistic repertoire at the Singing School, and Helena Lazarska.

 Work & Activities

In the stage designs of this group, she is the main character of 'El Barberillo de Lavapiés' and the opera 'Dido y Eneas'. She has a beautiful voice for 'Chembino y Dorabella', 'Dido y Orfeo', 'Rosina', 'Ceneréntola', 'Romeo y Charlotte'... María Xosé Ladra often takes part in symphonic concerts and religious music, being very successful with her recitals of mixed contents: lied, Spanish song, opera and 'zarzuela'. She usually collaborates as soloist in the University Choir of A Coruña, where she performed the play 'Gloria' by Vivaldi. She was also the main character of the musical 'A Nai'. She was one of the founders of the group 'Magnificat' (religious music) and the lyric group 'Ofelia Nieto'.
