Nowadays he is the head of programmes on Galician TV. He started his journalistic activity in 1982 working as a journalist for the radio station 'Radio Pontevedra-Cadena Ser'. He also worked for the newspaper Faro de Vigo in Pontevedra (1983 and 1984) as sports subeditor. He was responsible for the radio station 'Radio Noroeste' in A Estrada (Pontevedra) from 1984 to 1985. In 1985, he began to work for Galician TV as editor. He was also sports head (1990-1993) and editor-in-chief of news programmes (1993-2000). He presented and directed many programmes on Galician TV such as Telexornal, O Semanal, Reporteiros, Galicia Directo and Especiais Informativos.
