He studied Secondary Education in Lugo and Journalism in Barcelona. He collaborates in some newspapers of this city, where he has lived and devoted himself to Arts and Journalism for almost forty years. In 1991, he was given a prize at the 'Pedrón de Honra' Foundation for his task spreading Galician culture abroad. He collaborated in the newspapers La Vanguardia and El Periódico de Barcelona (Barcelona) and La Voz de Galicia (A Coruña). He also collaborated in the magazines 'Destino' 'Mundo', 'Historia y Vida', 'Nueva historia' and 'Hora de poesía' (Barcelona), 'Triunfo' and 'Tiempo de Historia' (Madrid) and the magazines about gastronomy 'Bouquet', 'Gastronomía y Enología' and 'Comer y beber' (Barcelona). Nowadays, he collaborates every week in the newspapers Faro de Vigo (Vigo), O Correo Galego (Santiago) and El Progreso (Lugo). He gave many lectures in Barcelona and several public announcements in different Galician villages. He is a member of the Association of Spanish Writers and the International Association of Literary Critics of Paris.

He wrote the following works in Castilian language: Rosalía de Castro. Vida y Obra (Plaza & Janés, 1967). Castelao: entre la realidad y el mito (Plaza & Janés, 1986). La magdalena de Proust (novel) (Group Axsa-Diario 16 de Galicia, Vigo, 1992). Los últimos días de la República, Bruguera, Barcelona, 1975. In Galician language, he published: O Conde de Viloide (novel), Sotelo Blanco Publications, Barcelona, 1985. A Monchiña (novela), Do Castro Publications, Sada, A Coruña, 1987. Agora que vou morrer axiña... (novel), Do Castro Publications, 1993. Sempre Galicia no meu corazón (selection of articles published in "La Voz de Galicia" of A Coruña), Sotelo Blanco, 1991. He translated the book Aires de mi tierra by Curros Enríguez (bilingual edition in Galician and Castilian language with an essay about time, man and poet), 1989. Lume esmorecido is his last published book, Ir Indo, Vigo, 1999.
