He lived in Cruzul (Becerreá) during his youth until he established in Lugo in 1991.
He took a degree in Galician and Portuguese Philology at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is a teacher of Galician Language and Literature in Secondary Education. He is the vice-president of Lugo County Council and the regional responsible for Lugo-Center.
He led the BNG in Lugo in the general elections of 2004.
He was a member of CIG-Ensino and was on the board of directors of ‘Asociación Socio Pedagóxica Galega’ (AS-PG).
He has been a member of the national council of the BNG since 2007.
He carried out some research works on Fuco Gómez, who was born in Becerreá and developed an important activity in favour of the Galician nationalism and culture in Havana (Cuba) during the 20s and 30s. He published several articles related to this matter in A Nosa Terra and has taken part in several conferences on this person.
