He studied Drawing, Painting and Ceramics at the Technical School of Vigo, where he learnt modelling with the sculptor Camilo Nogueira. He attended courses in Drawing, Painting and Ceramics at ‘Ramón Falcón’ Art School in Lugo, graduating in Ceramics. He took practical classes at Augatinta Gallery (Lugo) and gave courses in Lugo’s Museum within the programme ‘Campamentos de Arqueoloxía’ (2004).

He improved his knowledge and experience participating in different painting contests all over Spain: Tazones - Asturias (2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004), Villanueva de Oscos - Asturias (2001), Fromista - Palencia (2001, 2003 and 2004), Lugo (2002, 2003 and 2004), Nigrán - Pontevedra (2003), Folgoso do Caurel - Lugo (2003 and 2004), Olmedo - Valladolid (2003), Dueñas - Palencia (2004), Segovia (2004) and Gijón - Asturias (2004). Besides, he participated in the following collective exhibitions: Círculo de las Artes, Lugo (1970), Xunta de Galicia, Lugo (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004), Lugo’s Museum (2003), Almirante Gallery, Lugo (2002), Quiroga Ballesteros Gallery, Lugo (2003) and Esmelgar Gallery, Lugo (2004).

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was awarded the following prizes and distinctions: accesit at ‘Cidade de Lugo’ Painting Contest (2003 and 2004), selected work at the Painting Contest, Fromista – Palencia and Ponferrada – León (2004) and honourable mention at ‘José Domínguez Guizán’ Painting Contest in Begonte – Lugo (2009).
There are references to his works in ‘Guía de Artistas de Galicia’, Consellería de Cultura, Xunta de Galicia (2004) and ‘Artistas del Pincel’, Lucus Augusti Secondary School (2004).
He has recently handed over a work of the ‘Vilanova dos Infantes ‘Ourense’’ series owing to the homage paid to the painter and teacher Saturno Lois D. at Lucus Augusti Secondary School in Lugo.
