He founded the firm 'Asesoría Galicia, S.L.' today 'M & R, Abogadas, C.B' in A Coruña (Address: Concepción Arenal, nº 15 - 3º izq. - 15006, Phone number: 981 13 49 82; Phone number/Fax: 981 13 49 70. He is an attorney and an insurance agent. He took a degree in Business Sciences and began to study at University in Barcelona in 1958. He took part in the University Socialist Movement in Catalonia. In 1956, he became a member of the cultural association 'O Facho' and was an active member of the political party 'PSG', which he implanted in the area of Bergantiños, Muros and Noia. He took an active part in the Democratic Meeting of Bergantiños and together with other 19 active members of the 'PSG', he elaborated 'the Manifesto of the 19'. He was one of the founders of the Galician Socialist Collective, which would join the PSdeG-PSOE in May 1978. In 1978, he also founded the abortive congress of the Galician Culture. From 1978 to 1985, he was responsible for all the electoral campaigns of the 'PSdeG-PSOE'. In 1979 he was a councillor in A Coruña responsible for Town Planning with the mayors Domingo Merino and López Menéndez. From 1983 to 1991, he was deputy mayor responsible for Public Works and Heritage with Francisco Vázquez. He filled different offices in the local, provincial and national executives of the 'PSdeG-PSOE'.

 Work & Activities

Nowadays, he gives lectures about donation and transplant of organs, promoting campaigns of social sensitisation in these matters. He wrote several articles for Galician and other Spanish newspapers. He founded the opinion group called 'ULTREYA'. He drafted the statutes of the abortive congress of the Galician Culture and the amendment to the bill that modified the Law 38/1988, 28th December about Demarcation in relationship to the modification of the jurisdiction of the High Courts in Cádiz, Malaga, Asturias, Badajoz, A Coruña, Pontevedra and Murcia, presented and defended by the Galician Senators of the 'PSOE'.

 Other Interesting Aspects

In 1995, he had a liver transplanted. Since May 1996, he has been the president of the 'Association of Ill People and people who had a liver transplanted' (ATHEGA) and the Sports Association of the People who have been transplanted in Galicia (CADET).
