He made films, cinematographic criticism and articles about the cinema in Galicia during the 70's. He made the script of the video film Veneno Puro (1984) and the feature films Continental (1989), A metade da vida (1994) and Arde Amor (1999). He also directed the films A metade da vida and Arde amor. He gave the postgraduate course on cinematography direction 'La mitad de la vida: del guión literario al film', organised by A Coruña University to take a degree in theatrical studies (January-March 1997). He wrote the book Esta noite no cinema, which is a collection of analysis of six classic films (Paris, Texas, The Hustler, Viskningar och Rop, Arrebato, Eraserhead and Kagemusha). During the period 2000-2001, he had an opinion section in the Sunday's edition of the newspaper La Voz de Galicia and participated in the conference 'Xornadas do Ensino 2001", which took place in A Coruña from 13th-19th September 2001, where he developed a comparative analysis of a film by J. Boorman and a text by R. Cabanillas (La Demanda del Centro: Excalibur / Na noite estrelecida). He also published a report carried out for the 'Consello da Cultura Galega' titled 'La lengua de nuestro audiovisual' in Revista Galega de Filoloxía number 2, 2001.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He got the following prizes for his video film Puro Veneno: First National Prize of the Video Film Festival (Madrid, 1984), 'Moniteur' International Prize and Up & Down Prize (Barcelona, 1984). He got several prizes in the USA for his film Arde amor as well as 'AGAPI' Prize (2000) to the best script, stage design and production.
