He started to study Music when he was very young and travelled to several European capitals to study. In 1844, he went to Paris to study Chopin (who lived there) and then to London, where he studied with Moscheles (Beethoven's pupil). By 1846, he established himself in Madrid, where he presented some of his works, returning later to A Coruña.
