He took a doctor's degree in Theology and Canon Law at the Pontifical University of Compostela, where he was a Professor of Cosmology, Psychology and Ethics. He was a canon at Santiago's cathedral and filled the office of public prosecutor of the archbishopric. He taught Religion at University.
He collaborated with historical themes in the regional newspapers and diocesan and national magazines. Besides, he published the books Galicia Voto en Cortes (1925) and Galicia y el Movimiento Nacional (1938).
