He took a degree in Philosophy at the University of Santiago de Compostela and graduated in Teaching (he specialised in Social Sciences) and Galician Language at the Language School of A Coruña. Nowadays, he is working as a teacher at ‘Alfredo Brañas’ Secondary School in Carballo. He did some research works and others related to educative innovation. He also gave courses, lectures and poetry reading.

 Work & Activities

Since 1976, he has been collaborating in several newspapers writing articles in Galician language: El Ideal Gallego, El correo Gallego, A Nosa Terra, Man Común and mainly in La Voz de Galicia, where he has been collaborating since 1979. He wrote about literary criticism and politics, comments on historical events, education and interviews. He held a humourous section (‘A Revolta’) in La Voz de Galicia for some years and then the epigraph ‘Xanela aberta’ until the year 2000. Nowadays, he collaborates every week in the newspapers ‘Galicia hoxe’ under the epigraph ‘Vento fresco’ (the articles deal with outstanding aspects of contemporary society from a Galician perspective and intelectual critic). He upublished two books: Xénese e apocalipse, Do Castro Publications (1981, poetry) and Manual para escritores e outras sátiras, Toxosoutos Publications (1997, fiction). Besides, he translated seven books into Galician and published essays in several magazines such as ‘Arco da vella’ (‘Nós, os heterodoxos’) and ‘Agalia’ (‘A realidade portuguesa no pensamento galeguista’). He goes on writing poetry and fiction.
