In 1888 he began to study Philosophy and Arts in Madrid. After winning a chair in a competitive examination, he was appointed to Ourense in 1897. One year later, he moved to Toledo, where he started his political activity in the Party of Republican Union. Then he got the chair of Logic in the University of Madrid and entered the socialist party, filling the most important offices in the party of the General Workers’ Union. After being arrested in the Exchequer, he was sentenced to life imprisonment on 8th June 1939. One year later, he died at prison in Carmona.
