When he was six, he emigrated to the USA, where he returned in 1936 because of the Spanish Civil War. After having several jobs in New York and when the Second World War broke out, he joined the USA Navy, where he worked as a military translator and reached the role of captain. When the war was over, he attended postgraduate and advertising courses at Columbia University. In 1949, when he was twenty-eight, he was nominated as international advertising manager of Gillette. Afterwards, he founded his own advertising agency, being a pioneer in sports broadcast on radio and TV. Besides, he founded TV producers all over Latin America and since 1969, he was the first vice-president of 'Leo Burnett' advertising multinational company. In 1993, to remain the memory of his father, he decided to create a foundation to help people in Beluso - Bueu (Pontevedra). The main objective of this foundation is the granting of scholarships for pupils of that area with a good academic record and poor economical resources. This foundation gives an economical aid to Beluso School every year. He had four children with his first woman (Steven, Robert, Paul and Patricia). In 1988, he married again with Carmen Cruz.
