He was brought up in Tacuarembó (Uruguay) and discovered Galicia when he was twenty. During the 80's, he promoted Galician culture and language through the radio, books and lectures and taking part in politics. He studied Philology, Law and Piano and worked as a civil servant in the Exchequer. Then, he devoted himself to the study of personal names and Genealogy, focussing on Galician families that have been creating lineages in Argentina and Uruguay since the 18th century.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He is a foundation member of the Association of Writers in Galician Language and the Galician Association of the Language. He is an active member of the Institute of Genealogical Studies of Uruguay. He practises his philological ideology in the Galician Language Association.
