He started he ecclesiastic studies in the Seminary of Lugo and when he was eighteen he entered the Society of Jesus. He worked at Belén School in Havana for many years, teaching Chemistry, Natural History and Mathematics.
He published Introducción al estudio de la Historia Natural. Biología (1921), Nociones de Geometría (1923) and Fisiología Humana (1924, posthumous).
He participated in the spiritual activities of several religious institutions in Cuba.
