He was one of the founders of socialism in Vigo and organised many socialist acts both in Vigo and in other cities. He also organised the Society of Stonemasons, being the secretary and local president. In 1917, he was taken to prison for having participated on the general strike in August. One year later, he was granted an amnesty.
As a building contractor and master building, he participated in the construction of many buildings in Vigo: 'Casa del Pueblo' (he built it free), the buildings of the bank firms 'Caja Municipal de Vigo' and 'Banco de Vigo', etc.
He had 19 children.
