He studied at La Salle School in Verín (Ourense). During the 40’s he collaborated with ‘Azul’ Choral Society, conducted by Máximo Álvarez. He was the champion of the Youth Choir Contest in Galicia, Asturias and León.

 Work & Activities

He wrote ‘El misionero leproso’ (about Father Damián), ‘Los mártires de Turón’, where he wrote about the murderer of a group of monks of St Juan Bautista de la Salle Congregation during the Asturian revolution, ‘Oriamendi’, about the traditional third of requetes during the Civil War.

His first journalist works were published in ‘Heraldo de Verín’ and as a correspondent of ‘La Región’ in Xinzo de Limia.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was distinguished as honourable lieutenant colonel of the Royal Thirds. In 2010, he participated in the national assembly of the traditionalist veterans celebrated in Barcelona. He also participated in ‘España en la memoria’, a TV programme where he remembered volunteers from Verín and nurses from the military hospital at Cabreiroá Spa Hotel.

He is married and has six children.
