He carried out his ecclesiastical studies in the Seminary of Tui and the Spanish-American Seminary of Madrid. In 1959, he was ordained as a priest in Vigo. From 1965 to 1995, he practised as a military chaplain in the Armed Forces. When he joined the reserve as a colonel chaplain, he established himself in Vigo, where he retired on 17th February 1999. Besides, he took a doctor’s degree in Theology in the Faculty of Theology in Catalonia and a degree in Philosophy and Arts at Complutense University, specialising in Art History. Nowadays, he is the director of the Diocesan Museum of Tui, Professor of Theology in the Diocesan Seminary and Professor of the Church History at ‘San Agustin’ Theological Institute. He is also a canon of Tui’s cathedral.

 Work & Activities

He wrote Estudio histórico-artístico de Tacoronte (his minor thesis in Art History), Estética y culto iconográfico (his doctoral thesis in Theology) and Camarón y la época goyesca. He also collaborated in other books and magazines.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He has been awarded both Crosses of the Military Merit with white badge, the decoration of Ifni, Command and Plaque of San Hermenegildo Military Order.
