He studied Teaching in Ourense. Before the Civil War, he was the secretary of the Communist Party in Vigo. During the Civil War, he fought against Franco's troops and when it was over, he travelled to France and later to Cuba. He returned to Galicia in 1944 and took charge of the Galician general secretary's office of the central committee of the communist party. In 1948, he was arrested in A Coruña after a persecution in which he was injured. He was tortured and executed that same year in A Coruña.
