He took a degree in Law at Navarra University. In 1968, he started to work as programme-planning manager in the radio station 'Radio Pontevedra'. In 1978, he became the director of the group of radio stations in Pontevedra: 'Radio Pontevedra OM', 'Radio Pontevedra 2', '40 Principales Pontevedra', 'Dial Pontevedra', 'M 80 Pontevedra' and 'Radio Arousa'.
The most important prizes within the Spanish broadcasting were awarded under his direction: 'Ondas' Prize, 'Antena de Oro' and 'Galicia' Journalism Prize, which awarded by the Xunta de Galicia.
