He took a degree in Law at Santiago de Compostela University. He entered the judicial career in 1972 working at the Court of First Instance in Bande, Corcubión, Beija and Ponteareas. In 1979, he entered the old Corps of Labour Magistrates, working in Santander and Pontevedra. From 1987 to 1991, he worked in the Central Labour Court. He became a magistrate of the Galician High Court in 1991 and president on 19th November 1999, according to the royal decree 17/99, 29th October.
Nowadays, he is on the fourth room of the Hight Court.

 Work & Activities

He was a Professor at Santander University and the Open University in Pontevedra and assistant lecturer at A Coruña University. He also directed many formation courses for judges in A Coruña and the first formation course, sponsored by the Foundation 'Justice in the World' of the International Union of Judges (60 countries).

 Other Interesting Aspects

He published several works of his speciality in the bulletin 'Cuadernos Judiciales'. He is a member of the editorial staff of the juridical magazine 'Actualidad laboral' and the magazine of the Galician School of Public Administration 'REGAP'.
