He studied Philosophy and Arts, Law, Political Sciences, French and Galician. He founded the Confederation Unit of Teaching Trade Unions in Madrid during the 80's. He was a member of the national council of 'Movemento de Maestros' during the 70's and 80's (syndicate of teachers, Pontevedra), founder and director of 'A PENEIRA' and founder of the political party 'Coalición Galega'. In 1985, he gave up politics. He founded the Federation of Several Authors of Salvaterra (Pontevedra) and 'Rosalía de Castro' Confederation of Several Authors (he is a member of the present standing committee).
He directed and published books of 'Alén Miño' publishing house (the old EGASUR) and edited the Galician newspaper of general information A Peneira (there is also a supplement in Portuguese).
He is married and has six children.
