After studying Trade in 1951, he took charge of a textile company. His business was increased up to the moment with six firms, fourteen shops, and real state agencies. He exports religious articles and made the 'Lampadario electrónico'. In 1955, together with his brother Rafael, he founded a business centre in Lugo, the so-called 'Pazo de la Maza'. Nowadays, his business activity is expanding with the collaborations of his three children. Together with other executives, he founded the Confederation of Businessmen of Lugo in 1977. He was the founder and president of the Textile Association (1988). He was one of the founders of the Commerce Federation of Lugo and vice-president of the Galician Commerce Federation, participating in the elaboration of Law of Commerce. He also filled the following offices: president of the Galician 'IMPI', dependent on the Ministry of Industry; vice-president of the Confederation of Businessmen of Lugo for ten years; member of the Chamber of Commerce in Lugo; vice-president of the Galician mutual insurance agency for work accidents and member of the economic commission of the Galician Confederation of Businessmen.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He promoted any initiative in favour of Lugo (he has recently promoted the gold books to support the Roman Wall of Lugo). He was awarded the Galician medal and the distinction 'Empresario Galego' ('Galician Businessman') by the Galician Federation of Commerce.
