He has lived in Bretoña (Lugo) since 1975. He is a self-taught sculptor and finished his formation at the School of Arts and Crafts in Lugo. He travelled around Spain, Europe, America and Africa. He carried out several individual and collective exhibitions in Fonsagrada, Sarria, Guitiriz, Asturias, Ribadeo, Rábade, Lugo, A Coruña, Ourense and Pontevedra. He collaborates in TV programmes and newspapers with several publications.

 Work & Activities

Sculptures in the open air: -'Homenaxe a un Bretón desaparecido' (made of marble) at San Cosme, Bretoña (Lugo). -'Homenaxe á Pedagoxía' (made of marble) at the School of Primary Education in Bretoña (Lugo). -'Contemplade' (made of chestnut tree) at the viewpoint of Murias (Fonsagrada). He took part as a rapporteur in several lectures at 'Pazo de Bendaña' (Santiago de Compostela) and some schools.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was one of the founders of 'Bacabú' Gallery in Lugo and 'Muíño Pedagóxico Villapol de Bretoña' (Lugo). In a 30-year period of investigation, he spent 25 years making sculptures and managed to join investigation, art, creation, expression and culture. He got the Sculpture prize at the Second 'Cidade de Lugo' Contest of Plastic Arts in 1994. He was also selected by the 'Consellería de Cultura, Comunicación Social e Turismo' (Xunta de Galicia) to carry out an itinerant exhibition in the four Galician provinces. http//villapol.puirt.com
