He studied orchestra and choir conductorship, composition, trumpet and piano in the Conservatoires of A Coruña and Madrid. He was awarded the honourable prize in 1985, the first time a Galician Conservatoire and awarded that prize. He composed many symphonic works, piano and voice for several chamber groups. He conducted several Galician national and international symphonic orchestras: Young Symphonic Orchestra (Galicia), Spanish TV Symphonic Orchestra, Virtuosos (Moscow), Moldavia Philharmonic Orchestra, Camerata (Porto), A Coruña Chamber Orchestra, Filarmonía Bohuslava Martinú (the Czech Republic), Kishinev Chamber Orchestra (Moldavia), among others. His concerts were recorded by Spanish TV, Antena 3 TV, Telecinco and several radio stations.

 Work & Activities

He made twelve symphonic arrangements about Galician popular music. In 1997, he was nominated as director of the School of Orchestral Practice (IGAEM, Xunta de Galicia). He also created the festivals 'Voces xacobeas' and 'Voces no Camiño de Santiago' and is the author of the following productions: ‘Homenaxe á copla’, ‘Homenaxe á música do cine’, ‘Catro décadas para un musical' and 'Antoloxía da Zarzuela'

 Other Interesting Aspects

He teaches Composition in the Conservatoire of A Coruña and directs the Municipal Conservatoire of Melide. Besides, he is a member of the Music Commission at the ‘Cidade da Cultura’.
