1967-1973: Book distributor in Galicia (Alianza, Siglo XXI, Fondo de Cultura Económica, Tecnos, Seix Barral, Ariel, Cuadernos para el Diálogo, Ciencia Nueva, Labor, Ediciones de Cultura Popular, Edició de Materials, Ricardo Aguilera, Akal, Anagrama, Tusquets, Laia, Guadiana, Guadarrama, Edhasa, Castalia, Enlace, etc.).

1974-1982: Managing director of the Economic Culture Fund in Madrid.

1982-1989: Marketing director of Alianza Editorial.

1989-1990: Promotion and marketing director of El País.

1991-1993: Director of Culture, Foreign Relations and Publications in the foundation team of Cervantes Institute.

1994-2003: Director of Electa publishing house (Random House Mondadori Group).

He is retired now.

CINEMATOGRAPHIC ACTIVITY

1960-1967: La Noche and El Correo Gallego (both of them in Santiago de Compostela): criticism and articles about producers, national films, aesthetic movements, etc.

1961-1964: Founder and director of Cine-Club Universitario.

1965-1967: Founder and director of Cine-Club A.F.C. (Agrupación Fotográfica Compostelana).

1964-1966: Founder and codirector of Equipo 64 (with Gonzalo Anaya and Enrique Banet). He produced the following 16mm documentary films: El Camino de Santiago; Malpica; El Pórtico de la Gloria; Compostela inédita.

Copies of these films are preserved at the Galician Image Centre (C.G.A.I.).

1973: ‘I Semana de Cine en Ourense’. Lecture titled “Postulados para un cine galego”.

1989-1994: He collaborated in films, videos and advertising spots and worked as a dubbing actor in different studios in Madrid: Exa, Arcofón, Tecnisón, Abaira, Sincronía, Telson, etc...

2008-2010: He collaborated in El Correo Gallego every Wednesday with a section titled “Medio siglo de cine” that analyses the best cinema of fifty years ago.
