She graduated in Piano, Classic Philology and Musicology.

 Work & Activities

As a musicologist she has published several works in international magazines and compilations, especially about the political history of the music during the first period of Franco’s dictatorship.
She has been developing her teaching and research activity in the United Kingdom, in institutions such as the Royal Holloway College - University of London, Royal Academy of Music and the Open University.
She made her debut in the Galician literature in 1997 with Breogán de Guisamonde, o Cabaleiro da Gaivota, an Arturic novel for young people that was awarded Rúa Nova prize of Caixa Galicia Foundation. She also wrote O demo e o profundo mar azul (2003), Singularis Domitilla (2004), O país das bestas (2009), Organoloxía (2010) and A Veiga é como un tempo distinto.
Some of her narrative and poetry works also appeared in several publications (Revista das Letras, Dorna, Busola) and anthologies (Narradoras, Veas verdes).

She was awarded ‘Historias en la Universidad’ (USC), ‘Narrativas Quentes’ and ‘Terra de Melide’ Prizes and was finalist at ‘Biblos’ Prize for writers under twenty-five, 25 anos, ‘Manuel Murguía’ Narrative Prize and ‘Ánxel Casal’ Prize to the best fiction books of the year.
