Curriculum

He took a degree (1999) and a doctor’s degree (2005) in History at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Doctoral thesis: Arqueología del Paisaje y megalitismo en el centro-oeste peninsular: evolución de las pautas de poblamiento en torno a la cuenca del río sever (España-Portugal), directed by J.M. Vicent García (CSIC).
 
He started his research activity in the Prehistory Department of the CSIC in Madrid (1999-2005) and afterwards was postdoctoral researcher in France at the CNRS-Université de Rennes1 (2006 and 2007).
 
Today he is a Professor of the JAE-Doc Programme and member of the Instituto de Ciencias del Patrimonio (Incipit) of the CSIC.
 
His research lines verse on the study of monumental character in the recent prehistory of the European Atlantic Façade, with special attention to the contexts of the Iberian Peninsula and West of France.
 
He has participated in twelve research projects in Spain and France: Modelos numéricos para la Arqueología: aplicaciones de Modelos Digitales del Terreno en estudios sobre Arte Rupestre y Arqueología del Paisaje (1998-2001, directed by J.M. Vicent), Programme de recherche diachronique sur l’île de Groix (Morbihan) (2003-2006, directed by N. Molines), Programa de Investigación en Tecnologías para la conservación y revalorización del Patrimonio Cultural-CONSOLIDER (directed by F. Criado-Boado) or Procesos de Formación y Cambio del Paisaje Cultural del Parque Nacional de las Islas Atlánticas de Galicia (directed by C. Sánchez-Carretero). Today he is also the Spanish responsible for the Spanish-French project Patrimonio, arqueología litoral y vulnerabilidad: una aproximación interregional (Bretaña - Galicia).
 
He is the autor of six scientif articles in L’Anthropologie, el Oxford Journal of Archaeology or Cambridge Archaeological Journal.
