He is agricultural expert. He was the head of the agriculture service and civil servant of the Xunta de Galicia. He is a town councillor, deputy mayor and responsible for Economic Promotion in the City Council of Verín (Ourense). He filled the office of 'Conselleiro de Agricultura' during the last session but he resigned because of the problems with the Mad Cow Disease.
