He enjoyed a scholarship at ‘Pedro Barrié de la Maza’ Foundation and took a degree in Law in 1973 at Santiago de Compostela University. Shortly after, he took his doctorate degree at the same university with his thesis La publicidad de tono excluyente, which was awarded ‘Doctor Adolfo Muñoz Alonso’ Prize. He has been teaching Commercial Law at Complutense University since 1983 and is an expert on Industrial Law, Unfair Competition and Advertising. Besides, he was a joint author of the draft bill of the Law regulating Advertising.

In addition to his thesis La publicidad de tono excluyente, he was a joint author of the following books: Comentarios a la Ley de Patentes, Código de publicidad, Comentarios a los reglamentos sobre la marca comunitaria, Problemas actuales del Derecho de la Publicidad, La regulación jurídica de la publicidad fianciera, La patente farmacéutica, Formación del consumidor and I Xornadas Galegas da Comunicación.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was the president of the Association of Scholarship Holders of Barrié de la Maza Foundation. Nowadays, he is the president of the Association of Galician Jurists in Madrid (JURISGAMA) and Postgraduate Professor at Latin American Universities.
